Quakers share a way of life rather than a set of beliefs.  We seek to experience God directly within ourselves and in our relationships with others and the world around us.  These direct encounters with the Divine are where Quakers find meaning and purpose.  We have no ordained clergy, rather we are all clergy.

Our Meeting House is used by many local organisations including Subud, AA, CND, Mindfulness, Language Classes, and more.  BDAN (Bedford and District Audio News) and Tibbs Dementia Foundation rent offices in the Meeting House.  Bedford Quaker Meeting hosts a monthly gathering for refugee Syrian families.  A safe place for them to gather, talk, and socialise.

We welcome people of all faiths and no faiths to our Meetings for Worship. Newcomers can experience Quaker Meetings for Worship and join us for tea, coffee, biscuits and chat after the Meeting.  If they wish to learn more about Quakers, theBecoming Friendscourse is an easy and friendly course that is very much geared to the wishes and needs of our Attenders.
